// This residential development combines the renovation of a historic duplex with a series of new construction townhomes, seeking to negotiate the transition between the neighborhood’s existing single-family residential fabric and the larger scale of an adjacent apartment building. Utilizing a complementary red brick palette and carefully considered massing strategies, the new structures establish a dialogue with their surroundings while mediating between differing residential densities. Particular emphasis is placed on preserving the tree-lined character and intimate scale of the existing streetscape, balancing the efficient accommodation of additional dwelling units with the architectural continuity of the neighborhood.
