The Studio.
Short.
Studio Nobody is a multifaceted design studio founded in 2020 by Jonathan Bonezzi & Ryan Lane with Caitlyn Wolford.
Long.
Whose nobody? Why nobody? The word "nobody" is a compound word that comes from the Middle English words "no" and "body". "No" being an adjective that means "not any" or "none". "Body", a noun that means "one, person, individual". In this, “no-body” for us embodies a core ideological distinction of a unified practice, which in an even larger context can embody a methodology of approach to any project. In emphasizing the lack of a fixed or essential identity, our work has the capacity for an innovative adaptability, a unique approach to research, and a non-canoncial collaborative working process. Here, the continuous exploration of how to design, can be generative of a new architecture.
Studio Nobody’s current work and collaborations speculate on the relationships between kitsch scenography, (handi/digital)-craft, play-craft and (everyday)/graphic architecture.
